Sarah models clothes for me often. She has a great pixie haircut, is tiny enough to fit the oldest vintage, and is always up for anything! We have lots of fun when we get together. I always pick out more then enough things for Sarah to wear for our shoot, and then let her choose the outfits she likes best from those. It really is a collaboration. Yesterday, we decided to go with some black leggings and slouchy 80's ankle boots as the base for all the outfits. I did Sarah's makeup in sparkly silver, we had our coffee and talked about the family and then got to work. We took some shots of appliqued 1980s's sweaters, a couple of 1950's dresses, and then one or two from the 1960's and 1970's. The model really makes the difference in the clothes. Sarah always styles herself, deciding where the belt should lay, whether or not to wear a hat, etc. I like that.
